DSL Evening Session with Pre Learning (Designated Safeguarding Lead )
This is a 2 part DSL – the first part is e-learning which you will have to complete before the online session. You will receive the link for the e-learning from your trainer Paul Harrison's email address and will have an average of 2 weeks before the online session to complete it. Latest booking will be 1 week prior to the event so if you have booked late, you will have only 1 week to complete the online learning.
Session Aims: Training is fully compliant with Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023, Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025 and the Leicester and Leicestershire & Rutland Safeguarding Children Partnerships' procedures.
The course focuses on key themes and current issues, recent safeguarding learning and the effective ongoing management of a safe system.
The course is interactive and uses a variety of approaches. It is intentionally flexible so as to allow participants to raise issues of particular interest or concern.
Session Objectives:
Delegates should be able to apply the knowledge into practice around the areas of responsibility in their role as DSL .
