Safeguarding Supervision is well established in a number of partner agencies; however historically in education settings it often does not exist. Education settings need to have safeguarding supervision arrangements in place for at least their DSL and Deputy DSL. (Working Together to Safeguard Children 2015). The purpose of supervision for Designated Safeguarding Leads in Birmingham Schools is to reach a balance between case management analysis, personal support and guidance, managerial review; encouraging reflection upon good practice.

•Restorative resilience model of supervision
•Tools to support supervisors to work confidently with emotion and challenge in providing safeguarding supervision
