Description

The Information Age is changing the nature of the threat to the UK’s defence & security for example through the power of social media. But just as the UK needs to evolve in order to respond to these new digital threats, we are also presented with the opportunity to get ahead of the game.

The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) is seeking support and input from IT specialists in and outside of the defence and security field.

The webinar will discuss the opportunity, issues and military benefits that the information age presents in modern and future warfare.

So as the UK seeks to counter a growing number of threats, if you have ideas within robotics, autonomy, miniaturisation, data analytics, visualisation techniques, open source information and the commercialisation of space technology then please join us on 4 February.

During the webinar, suppliers can find out about an opportunity in April 2016 to demonstrate their future concepts to key senior military stakeholders, to discuss their application in a military context and to assist Dstl to identify the building blocks for future capability.
