The Socially Enterprising Researcher

This full day workshop is for postgraduate researchers who can expect to explore the following:

• give researchers the time and opportunity to reflect on the values that are important to their research
• explore what it is like to work with others who have the same personal and social values
• expand researchers’ views of careers beyond academia
• introduce an understanding and concept of business that aligns better with researcher motivations
• identify transferable skills from the research environment that can be applied in a social enterprise or business
• enable researchers to practise communicating ideas with passion and drive.

The elective is open to all DTA students from Biosciences & Energy DTA programmes
