'Conversations with the Divine.

Your Lord has proclaimed, “Call upon Me, I will respond to you. Surely those who are too proud to worship Me will enter Hell, fully humbled.” {Al-Ghafir, Qur'an 40:60}

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: "Du'a is (the essence) of worship." (Tirmidhi)

Discover the profound reality of duʿāʾ as the very core of ʿibādah (worship). This seminar will explore how sincere supplication softens and purifies the heart, strengthens the soul, and connects us to Allah ﷻ in the deepest, most intimate way. Gain practical guidance on making your duʿāʾ more present, heartfelt, and transformative in your daily life.

The purpose of this seminar is to inspire confidence and comfort in turning to Allah ﷻ through duʿā; speaking to Him with openness and sincerity, just as one would confide in a beloved and trusted friend, for Allah is the Greatest Friend to His servants. We aim to encourage an open, ongoing dialogue with Allah, where duʿāʾ becomes a natural part of daily life, conversing with Him ﷻ in moments of joy, difficulty, gratitude, and need.

Our perception of Allah shapes our relationship with Him, and it profoundly influences the way we call upon Him ﷻ.

Seminar Objectives:

  • Understand the meaning, importance, and purpose of duʿāʾ
  • Explore the types of duʿāʾ and permissible forms, including 'Tawassul
  • Learn the etiquettes of duʿāʾ and the acts that should be avoided
  • Identify recommended times and conditions in which duʿāʾ is more likely to be accepted
  • Recognise the factors that help or hinder duʿāʾ from being answered
  • Appreciate the spiritual benefits of duʿāʾ and its role in shaping the believer’s character
  • Understand how duʿāʾ relates to Qadr (destiny) and the wisdom behind delayed responses
