About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Preparation for Birth and Beyond (PBB) supports parents to prepare for their baby's arrival. Together we will look at understanding your baby, birth, feeding, safe sleeping, preparing relationships and where to access support and advice. The course will enable you to meet other parents, as well as a registered Midwife, 0-19 Specialist Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor) and a Children's Centre worker from your local area.

PBB is available to all first-time parents who pay Council Tax to Leeds City Council and reside in the South (e.g. Morley, Hunslet, Tingley) of Leeds at the time of the course start date.

Please book onto a PBB course when you are around 24 weeks pregnant or later. Wherever possible, please could you use the email address of the pregnant parent to register for the PBB course. If this is not possible, please contact us. Altentatively if it doesn't match you will be contacted to verify your email address.

Courses run either Face to Face during the day or Virtually in the evening. The 2-hour Antenatal sessions are held weekly for 4 weeks. An additional reunion session is offered post-birth.

We welcome fathers and partners to attend these courses. It is important you are available for all 4 antenatal sessions. Please only book 1 ticket per household, which will cover all 4 sessions. Places are limited, therefore please cancel your booking if you are unable to attend.
