Due diligence from the Lenders Perspective
- What to tell your lender in order to get funding.

Brian is one of the UK’s most experienced professionals in underwriting property transactions. He was previously at the United Trust Bank where he was part of the senior management team at UTB Bridging. Prior to that, he contributed to the growth of Octopus Property Finance (formerly Dragonfly Property Finance). While there, he gained a range of experience in underwriting property deals as well as dealing and resolving complex loans and transactions. At the Masthaven Bridging Finance as Underwriting and Operations Manager he managed a team of underwriters to ensure that the team performed to the highest levels. Before his career in finance, he was at Montague Knight. He headed a specialist team that undertook portfolio valuations and as Head of Acquisitions located suitable investment properties to purchase, structured the deals and took them through to completion. Brian qualified as a Chartered Accountant during his three year tenure at Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC)

In his spare time, Brian enjoys rugby, cycling and spending time with his young family.

About Brian & what qualifies him to speak to you about due diligence:

- His three points wisdom

  • Have you presented your deal in the best possible light to the lender?
  • Does your deal make sense?
  • Do you have clear-cut exit routes?

- The Due Diligence process
