Description

Award winning Scottish pastry chef, Helen Vass, presents her popular pop up dessert restaurant, Dulce, to Glasgow's Studio93 to celebrate national chocolate week on Sunday 15th October 2017. Helen has designed a creative dessert menu which celebrates the diversity of chocolate through each dessert and will be paired with matching wines. This is an informal afternoon where Helen will serve the desserts and talk about them and as it is a social dining concept, you can come alone or in a group!

What is included:

  • Amouse Bouche

  • Strawberry, white chocolate, yoghurt and pistachio verrine

  • Milk chocolate, hazelnut and pear tart

  • Dark chocolate "untuoso" with salted milk ice cream

  • Coffee with petit fours

  • Three glasses (175ml) of wine to match the desserts

  • Mini box of three handmade chocolates.

As this is a set menu, this will not be suitable for those who have and food intolerances/allergies, as lactose, gluten, nuts and gelatine will be present in some of the desserts. No other dessert alternatives will be offered.

FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

There are no age limits but alcohol will only be served to over 18's.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

There is parking on the street outside the studio, however it is not far from Kelvinbridge subway and Great Western Road where there are many bus links.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

In the event that you are unable to make the event, your ticket price is non-refundable, however if you want to pass your ticket on to a friend, they can use your ticket. In the very unlikely event that there is cancellation from the organiser, the ticket will be transferred to another date. The organiser cannot be held responsible for any extra costs incurred such as travel, accomodation in the event of cancellation.

Organised by

 from 3* Michelin restaurant, L'Osteria Francescana in Italy. Furthermore, she recently cooked with the Roca Brothers and their team from 3* Michelin restaurant, El Celler de Can Roca at the opening week of the new Macallan distillery. This year Helen was a winner of a Les Dames d'Escoffier Legacy Award and she was the winner of the Callebaut Patisserie Chef of the Year award at the 2017 CIS Excellence awards. Furthermore, she won the Dessert Gold Medal for her work at the Scottish Food Awards & Academy in 2017. 

Helen has worked with some of the best pastry chefs and restaurants in the business in both Spain and the UK. This year, she worked in London with Claire Clark MBE at her bespoke patisserie business, Pretty Sweet, producing high-end patisserie for clients such as Fortnum and Mason and Selfridges. Previous to that, Helen collaborated with the Award winning restaurant, The Three Chimneys, on the Isle of Skye. In May 2016, Helen was part of the winning team on BBC’s Bake Off Crème de la Crème hosted by Tom Kerridge.
