Description

EventScotland is Scotland’s national agency for events. As part of EventScotland’s ongoing programme of local learning and development opportunities we are pleased to be working with Dundee City Council to deliver a FREE workshop for event organisers in Dundee and the surrounding area.

PLEASE NOTE: Attendees should register for the AFTERNOON session via this site. Event organisers wishing to participate in the MORNING session should contact Claire Dow (Dundee City Council) direclty on claire.dow@dundeecity.gov.uk All attendees are welcome to join the lunchtime networking buffet.


MORNING SESSION delivered by Dundee City Council

Events & Festivals Coordinating Group Meeting (Invitation only)

The Festival & Events Coordinating Group (FECG) come together to share information and best practice on events in Dundee. The group exchanges information and shares programming themes to encourage collaboration and to find ways to work together in a mutually supportive way. Meetings take place three times a year, in February, June and October, with occasional sub groups looking at evaluation or other more specialised aspects of our work.

Attendance is by invitation but open to all event or festival organisers in and around Dundee, please contact Claire Dow at claire.dow@dundeecity.gov.uk to discuss further.

Format for the morning session is as follows:

AFTERNOON SESSION delivered by EventScotland

Engagement & Update Session (Open to all - register via this site)

The purpose of this session is to provide an update on the latest funding and development opportunities at EventScotland, including Scotland's recently launched Year of Coasts & Waters (2020). We also plan to include updates from number of relevant local event partners, such as Dundee City Council, VisitScotland and Police Scotland. Finally the session provides a forum for event organisers to discuss their event experience and share good practice, plus feedback on current challenges and opportunities in the local area.

The format for the afternoon is as follows:

1330 – 1340 Welcome and Introduction

1340 – 1420 EventScotland Update

1420 – 1430 Q&A/Discussion

1430 - 1445 VisitScotland Update

1445 – 1500 Refreshment Break

1500 – 1600 General Partner Updates & Discussion

1600 - Finish
