Dundee Santa Dash 2019
Event Information
Description
Get your festive season off to a great start with Leisure & Culture Dundee’s Santa Dash and help raise funds for the ARCHIE Foundation. This easy to sign up to event promises to be another fantastic, fun day out. Take part and walk or run the 2km and 4km routes in your very own Santa Suit. Get involved, feel good and help raise funds for this fantastic cause!
The Santa Dash
The Santa Dash involves participants dressing up as Santa and racing through Dundee's City Centre! All proceeds from the event go to The ARCHIE Foundation.
Registration begins at 9.30am with the race starting at 10.30am and Santas will receive medals and goodie bags upon completing the route. We'll also be handing out spot prizes on the day!
Once registered, Santas can collect their suits from Central Library, Olympia, or Dundee Ice Arena. (Please note that children aged 3-4 years will receive a Santa Hat rather than a suit and that we are unable to provide anything for those aged 0-2 years, however we do encourage dress up for all ages!)
The Route
Beginning in Dundee's City Square, the race takes runners on a 2km route through the City Centre and Santas can choose to do one lap or two before finishing up in the City Square. Walk or run the route, it doesn't matter as long as you have fun helping to raise funds for charity!
The Charity
The ARCHIE Foundation is the official charity of Tayside Children's Hospital in Dundee. The charity also supports some other children's hospitals in Scotland and has a long history of making big differences for local children. Everything it raises in and for Tayside will stay in Tayside - so you know your donations will help sick children from your local community! www.archietayside.org.uk
Additionally, you can raise money via Virgin Money Giving, and anyone raising £100 will have one entry fee refunded. To claim your refund email garry.smith@leisureandculturedundee.com
