Event description
Technology is changing Health & Social Care. Come to SmartCare 2020, understand the changes and make them work for you ...

About this Event

This year's event is the fifth Dundee SmartCare. Find more details, pictures and, after the event, presentations on our Convention web page.

We'll be featuring healthcare apps ... the kind you use on your smartphone for physical and mental health. How can clinicians (and the rest of us) possibly keep up when new apps come on the market every day?

The Alliance's Once for Scotland local and national directory is developing fast, with new features being added. But it's already an impressive resource which can save local authorities and third sector organisations weeks of work. Check out www.aliss.org

We've invited a major player in digital healthcare development to tell us about current trends ... more news soon.

Smart homes are in fashion, and social housing providers are key to bringing telehealth, telecare and home automation to their older or disabled tenants. Geraldine from TEC in Housing will explain.

Using sensors to predict and prevent older people and others from falling comes next, and we'll be looking at how Alexa can help people live independently.

Finally we'll round up recent developments in Dundee, where we've had success in using online video appointments , home blood pressure monitors and new technology in dietetics.

This is the provisional programme, with more to be added ...
