Join us at Phantom Brewery for The Wild Sheep Chase – a one-shot Dungeons & Dragons adventure full of unexpected twists, questionable decisions, and, of course, fantastic beer. Whether you're a newbie adventurer or a seasoned dice-slinger, this is your call to glory.

About the Event

On Friday 14th November, brave souls of all backgrounds will gather at Phantom Brewery to take part in a chaotic, hilarious, and downright baaa-rmy D&D one-shot perfect for beginners and veterans alike. We’ll provide everything you need (character sheets, dice, guidance, the sheep...), but if you’ve got your own lucky set of polyhedrals, feel free to bring them! You’ll be placed at a table with a group of adventurers and a Dungeon Master (DM) who’ll guide you through your quest. If you’re a total beginner, don’t worry – we’ve got simple, ready-made characters to help you jump right in. More experienced players? You’ll have access to more complex options to keep things interesting.

Food & Drink

While you’re battling bandits or making questionable deals with magical sheep, you can fuel up with some of the finest craft beers in the land – lovingly brewed by Phantom themselves (Don't worry, there's other refreshing alcoholic & non-alcoholic options available if beer isn't your go to!). The incredible burgers from 7bone can be ordered straight to your table – juicy, stacked, and very much up to adventurer standards (with veggie options too!).

Tickets

There are three ticket options available for this event:

Newbie Adventurer:

You’re new to D&D (or need a refresher) and looking to learn while having a blast.

Seasoned Adventurer:

You’ve rolled initiative before and are ready for a deeper dive into the chaos.

Just Here to Hang with the Party:

Not looking to play? Already done the one-shot? Grab this networking/social ticket to kick back with a beer and hang out with other D&D fans.

Spaces are limited – and like a nat 20, they don’t come up often. So grab your ticket now before they disappear into the astral plane.

FAQs

Do I need to bring anything? Just yourself and a thirst for adventure (and maybe beer). We’ll provide everything you need. If you’d rather roll your own dice though, please feel free to bring them!

Do I need experience? Not at all! This event welcomes all levels. Newbies will be guided every step of the way, and veterans will have options to spice things up.

Can I eat during the game? Absolutely – we highly recommend it. You can order from 7bone straight to the brewery. If you’ve not had them before, trust us, the burgers are legendary.

Is it just one game? Yes – this is a one-shot (roughly 3-4 hours). Short, sweet, and unforgettable.

Where is Phantom Brewery? Roughly a 15-minute walk from Reading Train Station. If you’re driving, there is roadside parking nearby, but be aware, spaces can be limited…and you won’t be able to drink as much beer!
