We will take a coach from Dursley Bus Station to Minchinhampton
A walk through some glorious Cotswold villages and countryside with typical honey coloured limestone cottages perched on slopes and along valleys. The route starts east of the village of Minchinhampton and drops to the Nailsworth Valley (one of the five valleys of Stroud) where we will walk through the lovely trout ponds of Ruskin Mill. Then up and through the hamlets of Rockness and Shortwood above Nailsworth and along Miry Brook and the Nympsfield valley. From there the route continues toward Coaley Peak and joins the Cotswold Way to walk over Uley Bury and Cam Longdown, and back to Dursley past Chestal House. It is a hilly walk but well worth it for the views, particularly if the weather cooperates.
Your Walk Leader for this event will be- Paul Lewington from Dursley Rambling Club

Free parking is available in Dursley for up to 24 hours at the Council run May Lane and Long Street car parks. The May Lane car park is the most convenient to catch the bus for the linear walks. However, these two car parks are often full during weekdays. There is parking at Sainsburys, in Castle Street, for a maximum of 2 hours, enforced with ANPR cameras. This can be extended for £2.45 using the Just Park website or on your phone when you visit - this allows you to park all day (to be confirmed when you book). Parking may also be possible on side streets close to the town centre but you will need to allow plenty of time to search for these spaces.
