Dursley Walking Festival Event 16 - Five Churches Walk
Join us for a scenic stroll at the GL11 4JE on October 4, 2025 at 10:00 AM (Europe/London). Lace up your walking shoes and get ready to explore the beauty of the area. This walk will take you past five charming churches, each with its own unique history and architecture. Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy the fresh air, stretch your legs, and soak in the local culture. See you there!
This walk links The Churches in the Ewelme Benefice. St James and St Marks in Dursley, St Giles in Uley (refreshments), Holy Cross in Owlpen, and St Bartholomew’s in Nympsfield (refreshments). It will include part of the Cotswold Way and there will be a short steep section just before Uley, and a steady gradual climb to the Cotswold ridge from Owlpen. There will be very few stiles. Nympsfield Village Hall Car Park near the Church is our final destination.
A gentle walk around the local Churches with potentially good views of the Ewelme Valley. Time to explore the Churches as we pass through.
There will be transport back to Dursley from Nympsfield Village Hall. If you are able to leave a car at the finish it will help to get everyone back quickly. If you are travelling in Multiple Numbers and are able to leave a car at the finish and assist people being taken back to Dursley this will be very helpful please let us know in advance if your able to do this.
