Event description

Description

Melisma are delighted to be joined by some of their singing friends to perform Duruflé's Requiem, Op. 9 in its original version for organ and choir. Our own Jenny Bourke sings the sublime Pie Jesu, with the obbligato cello part played by former St. George's chorister Andrew Nesbitt, and we are especially fortunate to be joined by David Leigh, Organist of St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin for this tour de force of organ writing. Also included in the concert are favourite works by Fauré including his Cantique de Jean Racine and Après un rêve and works by Poulenc, Ravel and Vilette. Tanya Houghton directs.
