Description
Digital Union is proud to present its #DUSocial series, a dedicated series of high quality masterclasses curated to help give you deeper insight into the world of social media.
It's time to #DUSocial properly!
Podcasts have seen a huge surge in the past couple of years – they used to be popular amongst the business folk 10 years ago but then social media took over and people wanted to get content and get it quick (thanks Twitter). But as we are leaning back into long-form content, podcasts are now the go-to source for almost everything. You know they’re doing well when Oprah has two! But how do you go about creating one? And furthermore, how do you get people to listen to it?
That's what you will discover in this interactive workshop with successful podcaster The Industry Angel, Ian Farrar. Ian Farrar hosts the #1 NE based business podcast. Industry Angel has topped iTunes new & noteworthy, consistently achieving thousands of downloads. This session will be based at both Baltimore House & PROTO, the centre for Emerging Technologies where you will have access to their brand new high spec podcast studio.
Why Podcast?
Well, time. Time is so precious, we take our mobile phones everywhere, constantly connected, there is no escape from the email notifications.
With this and so many weapons of mass distraction to our working day such as social media platforms, online news articles and hard copy business magazines we needed something else. Your podcast is designed to be accessible wherever your audience may be, whether that be battling with the traffic, running on the hills, or relaxing with a cup of tea, keep them with you and part of your community.
