Dùthchas Days - Fyrish Hike

By Emily Bowie

Overview

Come for a meander to Fyrish Monument for a day of nature connection and meeting likeminded others.

When: Saturday 10 January, 10am - 2.30pm

Where: Meet at the Fyrish Monument Jubilee Path car park at 10am.

Route: Cnoc Fyrish (453m), 9km distance, 356m elevation gain.

Cost: £20 per person

Join us for a meander up to the Fyrish Monument, a bonny wee hill overlooking the Comarty Firth. This day is all about connections - with yourself, nature and like-minded others. Whether you've never walked up a hill before, or if you're looking to feel more socially connected this winter, everyone is welcome on this hike.

Your guide for the day, Emily, will meet you at the car park at 10am, where we'll do some introductions and go over the plan for the day. We'll take the walk at a real gentle pace, with plenty of time for snack stops, chat, and to appreciate the beautiful woodland and hillside scenery around us.

Along the way, Emily will teach you some basic navigation skills (completely optional if it's not your cup of tea), about the nature around us and there will be some guided mindfulness exercises throughout the day to help you feel grounded. We'll aim to be back at the car park for 2.30pm at the latest.
