Not exactly. It’s not therapy or formal support. It’s an open, informal space to talk (or think) about death, dying, and living well.

Who is this event for?

Anyone who’s curious, planning ahead, professionally interested—or simply mortal.

Is this religious or spiritual?

Accepted Answer

No. It’s a secular space. All beliefs (and none) are welcome. The conversation is shaped by the people in the room, not by doctrine.

What do I need to join?

Just a device with internet access. We’ll send a Zoom link after you register. Bring a cuppa if you like—it’s a café, after all.  We've scheduled the event late morning so feel free to bring a snack or even your lunch!

Can I join late or leave early?

Yes, life happens. We'd love for you to be there for the whole thing, but come and go as you need to.

Is it really free?

Yes. It’s free to attend, though donations to support our community work are always appreciated.  If you would like to make a donation, just select the donation ticket option!

No. We want everyone to feel safe to speak freely, so we won’t be recording.

The Get Mortal Cafe will be facilitated by Emma, the founder of Dying to Help CIC and a passionate advocate for honest, human conversations about death, dying and grief.  Emma creates gentle, inclusive spaces where  people can connect, reflect, and talk about what really matters.
