Description

A basic in – house course designed for carers who work in Sheltered and Very Sheltered Housing to help them recognise and understand the different stages of Dysphagia.

Duration 1½ hours

Learning Outcomes

Staff will be able to

• Able to identify causes of dysphagia

• Able to look at the difficulties encountered by sufferers and how to address them

• Aware of the different stages of solids and liquids

• Aware which health care professionals are involved in the diagnosis and care package.
