Event description

Description

This event is co-hosted by Newcastle University and the Advancing Dysphagia Practice team and marks the launch of an exciting new ‘community of practice’ for evidence-based delivery of dysphagia services.

The programme will feature presentations of recent clinician-led research and service evaluation projects. There will be a masterclass skills workshop on how to frame questions for practice-based research – “setting your PICO question”, and an interactive workshop session to introduce “implementation science”.

The programme is open to all relevant healthcare professionals working with individuals who have eating, drinking & swallowing problems in any patient group – neonates, paediatric, learning disabilities, adult neuro, head & neck cancer, dementia, end of life care.

We anticipate that there will be a considerable waiting list for places at this event, so if you find that you are unable to attend then we ask you to please let us know as soon as possible. Please email SSTODysphagia@uclan.ac.uk

Drinks refreshments & a light lunch are included. A vegetarian option will be available, but please let us know if you have any additional dietary needs.
