Ecommerce security is increasingly a shared responsibility between merchants and service providers. However, criminals have worked out how to attack partially outsourced systems; these attacks happen every day and many companies are unaware of the risks.
PCI DSS provides separate self-assessment questionnaires for this type of ecommerce acceptance, but are the requirements sufficient or should the industry be developing more appropriate defences?
At our next Trust Forum in Edinburgh, John Elliott, head of payment security at easyJet, will examine how these ecommerce attacks are crafted and will discuss the best ways that merchants and service providers working together can protect from such an attack.
