E-Learning: Highfield Food Safety Level 2 (Online)

Public confidence in terms of food safety is a major concern for any business in the food sector. With increasing public, media and legislative scrutiny, food businesses need to get it right first time, every time.

This online course is suitable for those working in a catering environment who are responsible for handling food and also for those providing services to catering premises. It is widely accepted by environmental health officers and local authorities as meeting the mandatory standard of training.

All new starters in a catering business must be trained within 3 months of starting work. It is therefore ideal as part of a company induction. We also recommend that all food handlers undertake food safety and hygiene training a minimum of every 3 years. It is also a useful tool as refresher training for existing members of staff. Those successfully completing the course can go on to achieve a level 2 award food safety qualification.

• HACCP from delivery to service

• Personal hygiene

• Food premises and equipment

• Food pests and pest control

• Cleaning and disinfection

• Food safety enforcement

Duration: 9 hours

With high levels of interactivity to put the fun into subjects that some may find difficult, realistic problem scenarios to make the course attractive and informative.

Knowledge assessments in the form of a multiple-choice quiz, will assess the learner's knowledge of the whole course or individual modules. This helps to speed up learning by allowing students to skip over parts of the course they already have a full understanding of.

After you make payment one of the members of the Commercial & Licensing Team will register your details with Highfield who will then send you joining instructions. If you do not provide these at the point of making your order then we will be in touch within 5 working days to confirm these details with you. Following this the learners will be added to the Highfield Learner Management System.
