The HSE estimates that workplace injuries cost the UK economy over £15 billion per year. Official figures estimate the cost to business at £3.2 billion with individuals losing approximately £8.6 billion. Effective training can reduce the potential risk of harm occurring in the workplace, and save you money!

This course is ideal for employee inductions or for anyone wishing to go on to achieve a level 2 health and safety qualification. The course can also be used as part of the on-programme element of the new apprenticeship standards, supporting the knowledge, skills and behaviours apprentices need to effectively integrate into the workplace.

The course covers all aspects of the Level 2 syllabus and splits the teaching into 9 easy-to-manage modules.

Subjects covered:

1. Accidents including, slips, trips & falls

2. Legal responsibilities

3. Risk assessment

4. Workplace health, safety & welfare

5. Work equipment

6. Fire

7. First aid

8. Manual handling

9. Hazardous substances (COSHH)

Duration: 6-9 hours.

Knowledge assessments in the form of a multiple-choice quiz, will assess the learner's knowledge of the whole course or individual modules.
