#ScaleUp2Success Series

Join us for the launch of E2E in Brighton and an evening of inspirational, entrepreneurial conversation with:

Paul Lindley, Founder, Ella's Kitchen

Paul Lindley (born 17 October 1966) is an award-winning British entrepreneur and children's welfare campaigner. He founded organic baby and children's food brand Ella's Kitchen, naming it after his daughter, and later launched organic toddler toiletries brand Paddy's Bathroom, named after his son.

Paul launched Ella’s Kitchen from his own kitchen table in 2004, and transformed a home-grown business into a £75m titan that sells goods in 40 countries. That was just the beginning. Paul built on the success of Ella’s, creating natural toiletries brand Paddy’s Bathroom. And founded The Key is E, which supports social entrepreneurs in Africa.

He also co-founded a social enterprise called The Key is E with former child soldier and international hip-hop artist Emmanuel Jal. He was previously deputy managing director of Nickelodeon UK.

Alison Cooper (Lessmann), Founder, En Route International and En Route Gastronomie Vertriebsgesellschaft, Award Winning Entrepreneur and Active Investor.

In 1992, Alison created En Route Gastronomie Vertriebsgesellschaft in Germany, launching a country-wide chilled delivery network for Deutsche Bahn, Germany’s national rail company, providing all stations with UK-imported sandwiches and making En Route a £5M business within 10 years.

By 2002, Alison had launched UK-based En Route International, now a £40M corporation with over 70 staff members. En Route serves 65 corporate customers across 5 global locations and delivers to over 55 sites each week, and 40M units of product to over 100 locations worldwide annually.

Alison’s entrepreneurial spirit sparked the innovative philosophy now deeply embedded within En Route’s culture. Her imaginative approach to working with customers, identifying their problems and finding solutions for them has provided real added value to customers’ product offerings, supply chain processes and ultimately their bottom lines.

Alison’s proven success in taking En Route from its inception to a global concern led to the Emirates group (Dnata) acquiring the majority share in May 2012 for in excess of £7M and obtaining full ownership in 2017. Alison has recently completed her 5 year earn-out.
