About this event
About this Workshop
Join us for an inspiring morning exploring the Ealing Beaver Project, the UK’s first accessible urban beaver project, located in the heart of Greenford.
Born from a vision to reintroduce beavers into an urban landscape, this pioneering project enhances local biodiversity and encourages communities to reconnect with nature. Discover how humans and beavers can thrive together, enriching the local ecosystem for generations to come.
What to Expect
We will meet at 10:00am, and begin our tour at 10:05am with an introduction to the history of beavers, their return to the UK, and the story behind the Ealing Beaver Project.
During the guided walk, you will:
- Learn how the project manages and monitors its beaver population
- See the incredible work beavers have done to shape their habitat
- Enjoy opportunities to spot local wildlife such as herons, warblers, jays, and greater spotted woodpeckers
- Ask questions and connect with fellow nature enthusiasts
We’ll conclude the tour back at the meeting point for a short wrap-up and discussion.
Your Guide: Şeniz Mustafa, Urban Beaver Officer
