Open Union

Open Union is an experimental music duo made up of composer-performers, Peter Bell (modular synthesiser) and Patrick Ellis (electric guitar) who are based in Birmingham and London.

Described by the treasured composer Howard Skempton as being, ‘sometimes subtle and unstable; sometimes rich and dense’, the duo aims to build up strong collaborative relationships to create new verbal and text based works. Their current collaborators are Christine Cornwell, Wilson Leywantono, May Chi, Paolo Griffin and Seán Clancy.

MOX Salnikov & Daniel Vincent

Two long-time collaborators finally stepping into the spotlight together after releasing an album. Their fusion of power ambient and noisecore is a bold sonic terrain: atmospheric yet abrasive, meditative but volatile. Apocalyptic undertones add a cinematic edge, like the soundtrack to a crumbling utopia... but with just enough light to keep it from tipping into despair.

Georgina Brett & Martin Lau (Flooded Access)

Georgina studied undergraduate music at Edinburgh University under Peter Nelson and Nigel Osborne.

Since 2003 she has explored the territories of the voice and delay pedals making collages of vocal sound, usually non verbal. In 2012 Georgina began Tuesdays Post : Live Progressive Ambient in order to create a platform for artists who explore acoustic instruments and electronics.

Musician and visual artist Martin Lau’s sound work explores improvised music and soundscapes, often drawing on the atmospheric vastness of outer space and the deep sea. For this collaboration with Georgina he will be using only woodwinds and percussion, focusing on acoustic textures and interplay. He performs under the name Flooded Access, and curates the monthly experimental music showcase Ealing Extranormal.
