Me, Claudius
Using everything from record players to skipping CDs, field recording, found instruments and sampling, Me, Claudius captures the musical and rhythmic events that exist in the most unexpected places in our environment. A perverse sense of chaos in order seeps into the shifts and structures of her music. Her percussion is sounds just on the edge of familiarity, the creaks, buzzes and whirs that infiltrate our subconscious. From the murk they congeal again and again into dub-affected rhythms. As if a glitch has somehow skipped out of a machine and wormed its way into disturbing the real world.
Me, Claudius is an experimental musician living in a village in Southern England. She has released music on Dinzu Artefacts, Bezirk Tapes, Linear Obsessional and Artsy Records.

Kinver Pond
Solo absurdist patience-testing sound-collage incompotronics. Could be: bells / radio / loops / readings from found things / guitar / whistles / mechanical dog / tapes… or some or none of those things, or maybe everything will break and we can all chat about films or books or something? It might be a long 25 minutes.
Most recent releases are ‘Sparkles Are Back’ (Why Keith Dropped the S) and ‘Moonrise Over Legends Gym’ (Chocolate Monk).
Kinver Pond is also one half of Wellness Regime, an improv/noise/weirdness duo.

Simian Carbuncle
Simian Carbuncle are a guitar duo exploring the sonic possibilities of unorthodox techniques.
Matt Clark's work sidesteps traditional notions of harmony and melody, instead exploring the random and unexpected within improvisation around twelve tones, and the sonic possibilities of unorthodox techniques.
Adrian Southby is a multi-instrumentalist and improviser based in Brighton. His work is mainly concerned with exploring sonic possibilities using unorthodox techniques.
The rule has always been “no effects”; the experiment is about what sounds we can make with the guitar on its own, but with preparations, so sticking a file into the pickups to make an audio click is ok. An eBow, or a volume pedal, are ok as they doesn’t affect the fundamental sound of the guitar, etc…
