Description

START YOUR CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS WITH A LITTLE PHO, HO, HO!

The last #EalingTweetup at @PhoRestaurant was back in July 2016. Pho had only been open a few months, yet Libby and her team laid on a feast of exotic Vietnamese street food, and drink, that had Ealing's tweeters abandoning their smartphones.

The #EalingTweetup is revisiting Pho for two special reasons:

a) Pho will be introducing Ealing's foodies to their new cocktails for Christmas;

b) We will be celebrating Pho's second birthday as a valued member of our business community.

Pho's food is exceptionally tasty, and healthy, so don't worry about indulging your tastebuds before Christmas.

The last #EalingTweetup was oversubscribed, so to avoid disappointment, please RSVP quickly to reserve your place, and help us keep track of numbers for catering and safety.

We hope you can join us,

Michael Greer (@MGreer_PR)

WHAT IS THE #EalingTweetup?
The Ealing Tweetup is an informal social media networking event in West London that brings together a diverse range of (mainly) local business people, politicians, mums, bloggers, journalists, digital industry pros and other interesting characters from many walks of life.

It is the ideal opportunity to meet local tweeters and put a face to the personalities behind your favourite local Twitter accounts. The #EalingTweetup is also the perfect vehicle to promote and support local pubs, restaurants, businesses, and startups.

We don't mind if you are a Twitter beginner or a media expert, everyone is welcome!

THE PHO STORY.
Stephen and Juliette Wall opened Pho, London’s first Vietnamese street food restaurant, in Clerkenwell in June 2005 after they travelled to Vietnam and fell in love with the food.

They made the decision to start a restaurant serving pho while sat on high stools, slurping pho bo, around the shopfront of Pho Quynh in Ho Chi Minh City (323 Ð Pham Ngu Lao, if you’re heading there soon).

Twelve years later, Pho is still a family-run business serving great value, authentically prepared Vietnamese street food, with restaurants in London, Brighton, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Cambridge and Bristol.

PHO FOOD.
Pho [ pronounced fuh] is the Vietnamese national dish; an aromatic, nutritious and delicious rice noodle soup served with a side plate of fresh herbs to add as you please. The addition of these herbs and table condiments is an essential part of eating pho and adds another dimension to the dish - our chilli paste for a kick, fish sauce for extra saltiness, garlic vinegar for sourness. Don’t hold back.

Their stocks take around 12 hours to prepare – this authentic preparation being key to the stocks retaining all their goodness and developing their own distinctive tastes and aromas. Ph? is brimming with lean meats and fresh ingredients - In fact, it’s the perfect comfort food or pick-me-up!

We think it’s also the best noodle soup in the world!

PHO NUTRITION.
Vietnamese cuisine is about adapting the food to your personal taste. Pho's is made fresh at each branch every day. Absolutely nothing is bought in frozen or pre-packaged. Pho dishes are all low in fat and saturated fat and are a good source of 10 of your vitamins and minerals, including those that contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue - so no post-lunch food comas!

PHO DRINKS.
Pho are very proud to be the only UK importer of Son Tinh Rượu rice wine liquors, from the amazing Highway 4 bar in Hanoi. This authentic Vietnamese rice wine is a premium spirit – we love its unique, fragrant flavour and like to drink it neat or mixed into one of Pho's cocktails, like the Phojito or Lemon Basil Martini.

Vietnamese food pairs perfectly with fresh, zingy cocktails. From the Phojito, to the Sriracha Bloody Mary, Pho make theirs with fresh herbs and spices, Vietnamese vodka and the award-winning Son Tinh Rượu spirits and liquors imported from Vietnam.

Pho have carefully selected a number of great quality wines that match wonderfully to their food. They also have a range of three imported Vietnamese bottled beers - Halida, Saigon from Vietnam - and the fantastic Beer Lao worshipped by many a seasoned traveller - even the big bottles!

The atmospheric space opens up towards the back, with high ceilings, a flexible mix of high and low seating, cozy booths and comfortable benches where you can enjoy a wonderful cocktail on a night out and dine with the whole family.
