What is the LEAO In Practice?
The 'In Practice’ sessions are a reflective space to share good practice and consider what has gone well (as well as any challenges encountered) in using the Leeds Early Attachment Observation (LEAO).
What does the session involve?
There will be a 15 minute ‘spotlight’ within each session where Infant Mental Health (IMH) facilitators will focuson one particular aspect of the LEAO. However, we don’t want this to become a ‘teaching space’ so the rest of the session will predominantly be used for reflection, support, and ‘troubleshooting’.
This training hopes to...
- Increase practitioner confidence inusing the LEAO.
- Ensure that the integrity (fidelity) of the tool is maintained.
Why is this important?
Early identification of attachment difficulties will help support children to have the best start in life for optimal emotional and social development.
PLEASE NOTE:
This event is virtual. We will send a Microsoft Teams link to attendees with a place one day before the session.
