About this event

Community • Heritage

Join Julie McKiernan in a fun creative writing workshop inspired by the Lindsay clan’s coat of arms and the three ancient titles earned by members of the former family of Haigh Hall. This FREE friendly and accessible workshop will look at the Lindsay’s legacy and the symbolism of their coat of arms and how they can inspire our own stories, scripts or poems.

About Julie...

Julie specialises in heritage-based writing. You may have seen her performing her scripts as part of ‘Heritage With a Twist’, attended one of her local history talks, tours or creative writing workshops or read one of her essays and books such as ‘Leigh Girls’ Grammar School: Swift & Sure’.

"Really enjoyed the workshop. Made me think both horizontally and vertically."

Julie has also had plays performed and workshopped by professional theatre companies, and used them to train health and social care professionals. She is a qualified tutor with over thirty years’ experience teaching Writing and Drama.
