About this event

Childminder educators have a legal duty to help all children achieve their full potential including children with special educational needs and/or disability (SEND). This course will share practical strategies for supporting children's learning to ensure they make good progress, thus closing the achievement gap

Learning Objectives:

  • Begin to understand how to identify children with additional needs including SEND and/or disabilities
  • Explore strategies for working in partnership with parents in supporting their children's needs
  • Have an awareness of local multi-agency working and where you can go to for specialist support
  • Begin to feel more confident when working with children with SEND and their families
  • Have an increased awareness of understanding the Special Needs Code of Practice and how it relates to your Early Years practice

The training is aimed at our registered childminder early educators. Ofsted registered educators are welcome to purchase the training if we have any applicable tickets.
