About Julie Sherrington
With more than 25 years of experience in education as a teacher, headteacher, school improvement advisor and early reading expert, Julie Sherrington now leads early years for GLF schools, a large trust with 35 primary schools and 25 nurseries. She also works for Unity Schools Partnership as their Early Years Implementation Lead.
Julie is the co-author of The Language of Learning and regularly speaks about the language development framework within the book to support practitioner understanding of child development. She is passionate about getting early education right to improve the life chances of every unique individual who enters our schools. Julie has also worked as part of the Wandle English hub team supporting early set up and training literacy specialists and audit teams.
The event will include:
- the ShREC approach and high-quality interactions as well as working though the language development framework, giving early years practitioners a clear visual model and common framework for consistency
- child development and the impact of sensory and physical development on children’s language development
Aimed at: Senior Leaders, EYFS and KS1 Teachers. Maximum two places per school/setting.
