About this event

Health • Medical

Travelling the autism diagnosis pathway can be a long and lonely process, and for many that doesn’t change after receiving a diagnosis.

Our aim is to provide parents and carers with the opportunity to learn more about autism, gain insight into at home support strategies for under 5s, and meet other families with autistic children - all in a safe and supportive environment.

Our workshop has been co-created by professionals and parents with lived experience.

Whether your child has been diagnosed or not, you are welcome to take part and hear first-hand from other parents and carers of autistic children.

Workshop information:

Time: 9.30 am - 2.30 pm

Location: Bournemouth Sports and Social Club, Chapel Gate, Christchurch, BH23 6BL

Outline of the day:

  • Develop your understanding of autism
  • Learn strategies to support your child
  • Hear first-hand parent experiences

The workshop will be delivered in a relaxed, informal and supportive environment.

PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is open to parents and carers only. Your child(ren) will be not be admitted into the workshop so you will need to make alternative childcare arrangements to cover the workshop duration. If you arrive with your child you will be turned away from the workshop.
