Ease into 2026:  A gentle day of breathwork, journalling and collage

By The Writers Workshop

Overview

Join Beverley Ward (writer and life coach) and Sophie Kirkton (breathwork practitioner) for a gentle, nurturing start to a creative 2026

Ease into 2026: A gentle day of breathwork, journalling and creative collaging to encourage us to reject the hustle culture of New Year goal setting, listen to our bodies and hearts, get creative, and slow down.

In a culture which emphasises productivity, aspiration, and time-saving hacks, slowing down can feel like a counter-cultural radical act, especially at New Year with its emphasis on fast-paced routines, goal setting, and planning. What if, instead of creating punishing to-do lists, we heeded winter’s call to turn inward, hunker down and rest?

In this day led by breathwork practitioner Sophie Kirkton and writer/coach Beverley Ward, you’ll be guided through breathwork practices, reflective writing exercises, and creative collaging techniques to help you to connect with your inherent wisdom and intuition, enabling you to carry forward into the new year only that which you really need.

Morning Session: Breathwork and journalling

Afternoon Session: Creative visioning/collaging

Tickets are available for a morning or afternoon session only, or full day (including lunch).

  • Complimentary coffee/tea is included in both sessions.
  • Lunch can also be purchased on the day at the venue for those doing a half day.
  • No experience of writing or breathwork necessary. Just bring a notebook and pen.
  • All collaging materials provided.
