East and Southeast Asian Community Conversation Scotland

About this Event
It's been a long time coming but East and Southeast Asian Scotland (ESAS) is very excited to welcome you to our first virtual community conversation! ESAS are Scotland's first Non-profit dedicated to mobilising democratic civil participation of East and Southeast Asian (ESA) people* in Scottish society whilst fighting inequalities, systemic barriers and racism faced by ESA communities in Scotland. We are a group led purely by volunteers who share the same desire to initiate and make positive changes for ESA people in Scotland.
*East and Southeast Asian (ESA) people identifying with cultures and ethnicities coming from Brunei, Cambodia, China, East Timor, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea (North & South), Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam.
We are keen to meet each and every one of you to hear your thoughts and discuss issues that we face as ESA people in Scotland. Let's come together as a collective, understand our needs and strengthen the positive representation of our community - it's time for our voices to be heard!
Our conversations will cover some topics such as:
Who we are and how we can support your needs.
1. How has Covid-19 affected you?
2. Do you have an ESA support network?
3. What issues do you face as an ESA person in Scotland today?
4. Positive aspects of ESA life in Scotland!
This will be an online event held on Zoom - for people 16 years + *Please Opt-In for email marketing so we may contact you with Zoom link information closer to the event!*
