Description

EAST BCU Serious Violence Summit – Round up event

Tackling serious violence is one of the biggest priorities for Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge, but it is not a challenge we face alone. Barking and Dagenham are working in partnership with Havering and Redbridge using the combined resources to explore how we can tackle the root causes of serious violence, for the benefit of our current and future generations.

The event will be hosted in Barking and Dagenham to round up the learning from all three Borough's Summit's, with Barking and Dagenham’s success delivery in January 2019, Redbridge’s in July 2019 and Havering’s in November 2019. The aim from the tri-borough events were to look at the current challenges we face in the East Area around serious violence and work in collaboration to deliver successful interventions and workstreams which assist in the reduction of serious violence. The councils and partner organisations are committed to working hand in hand with our communities to identify and address the causes and explore what joined up work can be done to address the issues we face.

We want to thank you for being a part of the East BCU Serious Violence Summit's and assisting the local Borough's in coming together to create stronger community links to provide interventions in tackling serious violence.

LondonEast is situated a short 5-minute walk from Dagenham East Station which is served by Transport for London, District Underground Line.
