Description

The East Lancs IOSH District Annual General Meeting will be held on May 16th immediately prior to the next district meeting

The venue will be the Clitheroe Cricket Club

The AGM will start at noon followed by the usual buffet at 12:30.

The meeting will start at 1pm with our guest speaker Neal Stone who will be discussing :

“Crime and punishment. Are large fines and imprisonment helping or harming the quest for healthy and safe workplaces?”

The current committee have indicated they would all like to continue for 2019-2020

If you wish to get involved on the committee you must follow the steps below:

Committee application

To join your district committee, the following must apply to you:

  • You must have an Up to date IOSH CPD (does not apply to associate or affiliate members , relates to Technical, Graduate, Chartered and Chartered Fellow or Retired CMIOSH/FMIOSH categories)
  • You must have an Understanding of the current IOSH strategy
  • You must have an Understanding of the IOSH Code of Conduct
  • Understanding of and commitment to the IOSH Volunteer Principles
  • Able to attend and contribute to Branch, District or Section meetings and Committee meetings as required
  • Available to allocate own time and contribute positively and actively to the work of the committee

  3. Note you do need a proposer and seconder both of whom need to be IOSH members.
  4. If applicable your CPD will be checked by IOSH and if not up to date your application will not be accepted by IOSH.
  5. All nominees will be sent to me approx. 2 weeks before the AGM

If we receive more nominations than the current size of the committee voting will take place amongst IOSH members at the AGM in relation to the role applied for.
