Event description

Description

We would like to invite you to the official launch of the East London Health & Care Partnership, from 9am to 1pm on Monday, 3 July at Stratford Town Hall.

The Partnership is made up of the 12 NHS organisations and eight councils across east London who have come together to ensure the local people have access to the best possible health and care services, both now and in the future. With a shared goal to help people live happy, healthy and independent lives, our mission is to maintain and protect vital services in the face of an increasing demand from the area’s growing and ageing population. We also want to improve services and deliver better treatment and care built around the needs of local people.

Combining our expertise and resources, and taking full advantage of the advances in technology and clinical care, we will break down the barriers between services so they can be provided when, and where, people want them. When people are unwell, we want them to be able to spend as much time as possible at home, where they want to be, but still get the care they can trust and rely on when they need it.

Much is already happening across east London to achieve our goal, but a key aim over the longer term is to help people stay healthy and well. This isn’t just about providing good advice and information, it’s working together as a Partnership to improve people’s quality of life through better education, job opportunities and more housing. There’s a lot we can, and want, to do.

We would very much like to tell you more about our aims and plans for the future, so will be delighted if you can join us at the launch.

As well as giving you an introduction to the Partnership, we are hoping to welcome high profile keynote speakers from the wider NHS and local government sectors to share their thoughts on the future of health and social care. You will also have the opportunity to visit our Expo, to learn about the new and innovative work already going on in our area. And you can join one of our round-table discussions or ‘lunch and learn’ sessions on a topical theme or issue. Please see the programme below. Please call Ian Tompkins on 07879 335180 if you have any questions.

We hope to see you on 3 July.

Kind regards
