Synopsis: East to Elsewhere is a night of stories, songs, and conversation from Tower Hamlets and beyond. Our storytellers will share tales of kindness, migration, and belonging. From a stranger offering shelter to small acts that can change a life, these stories show kindness in many forms.
But this isn’t just a show you watch - you can join in too! Share your own story or song at our open mic, then stay for a lively discussion with artist Sef Townsend. Together, we’ll explore big questions in a warm, welcoming space. What makes kindness powerful? How do we keep it alive in tough times?
Blending performance and audience voices, East to Elsewhere is about connection, laughter, and personal histories. The East End has a proud tradition of supporting refugees and standing together across religion, race, and culture. Let's remind our government what kindness means during troubled times.
About the Company: Daedalus Theatre Company makes community-driven work exploring big ideas. Based in Tower Hamlets and LGBTQ-led, our projects include A Place at the Table with refugees, Mobile Incitement about protest, and East, a local storytelling project. We’re all about connecting people through bold, cross-cultural, and socially engaged theatre.
