Will accommodation be provided?

Accepted Answer

Accommodation on 3rd June will be provided for those that require it. Additional accommodation on 2nd June may be available for those unable to arrive in Edinburgh by 10:30am for the Symposium. Changes to accommodation requirements must be communicated by 1st April 2024 to avoid incurring costs.

Question 2

What type of accommodation is provided?

Accepted Answer

All accommodation will be single-occupancy en-suite rooms within close proximity to the Symposium venue. Breakfast will be included in all room bookings. Your accommodation allocation will be confirmed about a month before the event.

Question 3

Will my travel to the Symposium be covered?

Accepted Answer

Students are expected to claim all travel costs back from their RTSG. EastBio can only cover travel expenses for guest speakers at the event.

Question 4

What catering will be provided at the Symposium?

Accepted Answer

Tea/Coffee breaks, Lunch, and an optional dinner will be provided. In our efforts to become a more sustainably minded DTP, we will be serving primarily plant based catering, which has a lower carbon cost compared to other options. https://catering.ed.ac.uk/sustainability/carbon-footprinting
