Eat Local - Wild Food Foraging, Chester.

This spring course takes place in the picturesque Cheshire village of Christleton, around some of my favourite foraging spots. A great course for the beginner or more experienced forager as we will take in a variety of wild food habitats, from meadow, semi arable, hedgerow, canalside etc. One of the most complete seasonal foraging courses I run.
Largely flat and confined to paths and field sides, its accessible for most and children are welcome. I would hope to cover a range of fruits, seeds, berries, herbs, greens and mushrooms on the course, usually covering over 30 species in total.
We shall meet outside the ring 'o bells pub in Christleton at 1.30pm I have designed the late start so you can book in for lunch at the pub prior to the walk should you wish to do so (booking is essential). From there we shall take a walk around a number of areas of the village taking in all the wild food spots it has to offer. This is a village where I lived until 2015, and we will cover all my old favourite foraging spots.
This is a place I hold dear to my heart, but equally its a good example of what can be found in any local village to a large extent, and should help you explore your own areas with opened eyes for the natural resources all around you.
