About this event

In this interactive and uplifting workshop, holistic nutritionist Nitu Pasricha and mindful movement facilitator Aditi Kaushiva bring together two powerful practices: mindful eating and mindful movement. Together, they invite you to slow down, awaken your senses, and rediscover the joy of connecting deeply with your food, your body, and your community.

Part 1 – Mindful Eating with Nitu Pasricha

Led by an AfN Registered Public Health Associate Nutritionist with over 14 years’ experience in NHS community health services, this engaging session will empower you to:

  • Understand the core principles of mindful eating and why they matter
  • Discover a range of health benefits, including improved gut health, better blood sugar regulation, and healthy weight management
  • Learn to recognise different types of hunger and tune into your body’s hunger and fullness cues
  • Gain evidence-based strategies for Mindful Shopping and Eating that are practical and easy to apply
  • Explore how mindful eating can support a more sustainable future by reducing food waste
  • Take home simple, evidence-based tools and handouts to help you weave mindful eating into everyday life

Nitu’s compassionate, holistic approach to health and wellbeing supports all key pillars of health - nutrition, movement, sleep, and emotional wellbeing.

Part 2 – Mindful Movement with Aditi Kaushiva

Move to Thrive is a guided movement experience blending breathwork, intuitive movement, emotional release, and joyful community dance. In this session you will:

  • Begin with grounding and breath awareness to arrive fully in the present moment
  • Explore gentle, guided, and free-form movement to release physical and mental tension
  • Connect with your emotions and move in ways that feel nourishing and freeing
  • Learn breathwork techniques to turn from sympathetic (fight or flight, stress) to parasympathetic (rest and digest, calm) nervous system.
  • Close with an uplifting, Bollywood-inspired dance flow — no choreography, just pure joy and celebration
  • Leave feeling grounded, energised, and deeply connected to your body
  • Take home simple, evidence-based tools and handouts to help you weave mindful movement into everyday life

Aditi’s sessions are accessible to all bodies, abilities, and energy levels - no experience required. You’re welcome to move with what feels right to your body in that moment.
