About your facilitator:
Dr Amrita Vijay is a Scientific Advisor and Gut Health Scientist at the University of Nottingham. Having completed her PhD at King’s College London, she now researches how food and the gut microbiome influence inflammation, immunity, and long-term health. Her work focuses on natural, food-first approaches - like probiotics, prebiotics, and fermented foods to support the immune system and help people feel better from the inside out.
Amrita is also a qualified yoga teacher, combining science with movement through targeted yoga, breathwork, and mindful practices that support digestion and the gut-brain connection. She’s passionate about sharing evidence-based knowledge with the wider community, using simple, practical tips that make gut health and overall wellbeing more accessible to everyone.
