Do you want to improve your relationship with food and make longer lasting changes to your eating habits?
About this event
Our one day workshop with Morag and Jenny as Psychotherapists, Laura as Nutritionist and Kim as Complementary Therapist could provide you with the information and guidance you are looking for to help balance mood and food.
This is an interactive day offering a chance to better understand the links between mood, behaviours and food. We will provide recipes for healthy eating options so that you can prepare your own lunch in advance and hopefully have the opportunity to share experiences of trying something new.
We will start the day with some grounding before commencing our 2.5 hour talk will provide you with lots of information on the links between our emotional regulation systems and why being compassionate towards yourself will aid longer lasting habit changes. We will provide information on psychological, emotional and nutritional health using a range of techniques.
We will then prepare an easy but healthy snack that you can enjoy in the afternoon.
After lunch we will go for a 15-30 minute mindful walk to the River Dee nearby, helping rest and digest as well as activating our soothe system.
The afternoon session will provide an opportunity to review your individual goals. We want you to improve the mind/body balance so that you have an initial action plan to get you started. We will also have time to mindfully wat our freshly made healthy option snack and if desired, prepare a blend of essential oils specific to you (for a extra small fee).
With 4 experts on hand, you are sure to gain some helpful tips and actions to start making a positive change towards your compassionate self.
Maximum of 12 delegates to allow small group work and individual discussions.
Note this group is not aimed at delegates with diagnosed eating disorders whom usually require longer term guidance.
