About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

Earlier this summer, we extended the Friday opening hours at our Altrincham Market Community Kitchen for a series of Foodie Friday nights - hosting 6 evenings of delicious food with different themes every week.

After a pause in August (we've been renovating our new Community Kitchen in Manchester city centre!) we're delighted to confirm 3 final Foodie Friday nights starting with this Eats & Beats business networking event for professionals, entrepreneurs (at all stages!) & business leaders who are looking to expand their network and share ideas over a bite to eat.

We'll be going off script from our regular Community Kitchen menu: serving up our favourite Greek street food dishes and playing some Mediterranean beats. Check our social media (@BouncebackFood) nearer the time for updates on the menu. We'll have a range of drinks & cocktails too.

This will be our seventh Foodie Friday event - having hosted Thai, Indian, Spanish, South Korean, Mexican and American Diner themed nights earlier this summer. Come along and try something new, enjoy tasty food, and connect with professionals, entrepreneurs & business leaders in your local area. All proceeds from food & drink on the night will support our Community Cookery School team as we tackle food poverty and food waste across Greater Manchester.

Who are we?

Bounceback Food CIC is a social enterprise fighting food poverty and food waste across the UK. Our Community Cookery School teams teach people how to cook, run foodbank drives at market events, help people get jobs in the food sector and coordinate community meal drives that provide emergency meals for our beneficiaries. The Alty Market Community Kitchen, our beloved converted shipping container, is our first permanent site and opened in July 2023.

Since 2014 we have taught 12,500+ people how to cook, including stroke survivors, young carers, foodbank beneficiaries and elderly people living in sheltered accommodation. We have also secured 25,000+ donations to food banks and generated over 285,000 meals for people in need via our catering, community meal drives and cookery workshops.
