About this event

Family & Education • Education

This meeting is only open to Buckinghamshire Headteachers on the Early Career Headship Programme.

Led by Emma Kell, founder and director of Those That Can limited, Emma’s energies are channelled into keeping great teachers happily in the profession. Emma has nearly 25 years as a teacher and school leader and currently teachers in Alternative Provision as well as working as a writer, speaker and coach.

This means both celebrating the unique brilliance of teaching as a career and bringing into the light toxic practices which feed directly into our current crisis in recruitment and retention.

In this session you will:

  • Discuss aspirations and challenges experienced with your middle leaders
  • Reflect on wellbeing, workload and the reality of a leadership role
  • Examine the culture and ethos of your school
  • Learn how to maximise the effectiveness of relationships with colleagues, parents and governors

This will be an interactive session with a focus on discussion and sharing ideas, so please bring along examples of successful experiences to share as well as the barriers you have or are facing.
