About this Event

Johannes-Dieter Steinert, Professor of Modern European History, University of Wolverhampton is presenting this lecture to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz concentration camp on 27th January 1945.

During the Second World War, 1.5 million Jewish children were murdered in the Holocaust. Only a small minority survived as child forced labourers, in hiding or with partisan groups. The lecture is based on a research project in which hundreds of testimonies have been analysed.
