Canal Heritage Walks & Witness Testimony

🔹 Tour: Cromford Canal and the Beggarlee Extension
Join us for a one-hour guided walk across varied and occasionally rough terrain as we explore the restoration work and hidden history of the Cromford Canal and the Beggarlee Extension. Discover the challenges and triumphs behind the work to reopen these lesser-known stretches of the canal network.

🔹 Witness Testimony: Langley Mill
Take a relaxed 45-minute walk through Langley Mill, following an easy route past key heritage sites including the Pump House, Swing Bridge, and Great Northern Basin. Along the way, listen to powerful witness testimony that brings the area's rich canal heritage to life through personal stories and local memory.

The Erewash Canal is a beautiful and historic waterway, and I’m passionate about preserving it for future generations.
