Event description
A hands on workshop making eco gifts

About this Event

Why make our own eco/healthy gifts?

Every year, we import over 10,000 tonnes of gifts, but

many presents given, particularly at festive times, are

never used and may eventually be thrown out. This

is in addition to the 50,000 tonnes of food and drink

that is thrown out in December alone.

In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to

create unique gifts that are both healthier and kinder

to the environment and will hear from one of the

University’s leading academics about her research

into healthy gifting.

In association with the Gate Church Carbon Saving

Project.
