Visit us at Central library where a member of the waste and recycling team will be available to answer any questions you may have on recycling or waste. The Wasteless market will also be there to collect non kerbside recycling. Our focus will be on Buy Nothing day - making beeswax wraps. We wil also be collecting small Electrical items and have examples of Real nappies.

FREE Beeswax Wraps Craft

Create a beautiful beeswax wrap in just 15 mins from a piece of cotton and beeswax. Use them to keep your food fresher for longer. Great to make for yourself or perfect as a birthday or Christmas gift.

Suitable for adults only - drop in anytime between 12-1pm

Small Electrical Items

If you are unable to take your small electrical items to our recycling banks or the reuse and recycling centres you can bring them to this event where we will recycle them on your behalf.

Did you know all electrical items, which include any item with a battery or plug must be recycled by law? Examples of items you can bring to this event are: electric toothbrush, hair dryer, batteries

Real Nappies

Did you know washable nappies can save you approximately £780 per child! Come along to find out more about the types of nappies available and how they are used.

Bexley offer a free £50 voucher to prospective parents or those with children up to the age of 18 months. This voucher can be spent on any reusable nappy outlet.

To be eligible for a voucher you must provide proof of address and live within the London borough of Bexley, plus show proof of pregnancy or Birth of your baby. Eg a Matb1 form, Maternity Exemption card or Baby Birth Certificate. For more information visit https://www.realnappiesforlondon.org.uk/

Please do not take recycling to the libraries outside the times and dates of these sessions.
